First Day of School

Posted by Gemini

I'm seriously considering here on out every time I make a blog post related to what happened in my day of school, I just title it with what number day of school it is. It's simpler and it automatically tells the reader I'm going to go through my classes and what not.

Anyway.
First morning driving to the highschool.
It's pouring down raining. What the heck world. Do you want to challenge me?
Anyway my dad decides because of the rain he wants my mother to FOLLOW me to the highschool. Great. I thought I'd feel all freedomfied and instead I just feel like I'm being babyied with my mom following me to school. hrmph.

On the bus I tried to finish annotating a book I had due, but I didn't really get that much done in it and then in the morning before school I pretty much got distracted re-acquainting with everyone. Forgot to bring a polymer squid to school for a friend of mine too, unfortunately.

First class was Spanish. woopee. Gah. I hate spanish with a passion. But I have to take a language and this is the last year I have to take it so that's a relief. But I have a feeling I am not going to be able to make it through this year as far as the talking in spanish goes. The teacher is going to be surprised at how little everyone knows I can just feel it. He's not going to like the results of my last teacher that's for sure. So that was just kind of... torture. Luckily, being first day and all he didn't push on the talking in spanish but he said he would later.

Second class was pre-calculus, which I was kind of looking forward too, simply because the teacher was a brand new teacher. He seemed alright to me. Mostly he didn't seem to realize that the kids and work load that the kids deal with is a lot more than usual, and I think he was afraid we were going to attack him or something. I can imagine some students in other schools might have done so to him at some point or another. Anyway I think he'll lighten up once he realizes how well-behaved and bright we are.

Third class I had was Infinity Project. Which I found out, I don't think I'm going to like that much. It's a technology class, and you'd think, since that's my focus area and all, I'd love the class, but gah. I have this feeling it's going to be boring for me. It seems that the class is going to be about how different kinds of 'technology' functions and works and then different theories and formulas and things that deal with 'technology' in general. Apparently it's an engineering course even though the programming teacher teaches it, so I just have this feeling I won't like it. Luckily I love the teacher herself, so it won't be too bad.

Last class of the day was Adv. Programming with the same teacher as Infinity so I just stayed in that classroom. There are only four students who are taking Adv. Programming, but come to find out they combined the class with those who were taking Infinity II, so there ended up being about ten students that my teacher will have to deal with separately. But both groups are kind of... independent and good about getting things done so she shouldn't have too much of a problem with it. Nice enough the four of us in programming decided that, we would work through what the teacher planned for a nine weeks, probably get it done early, and then be able to chill for the last week of the quarter, and then the next quarter we'd start working again. It's a nice way to keep active throughout the year, but also get some free time in as well. ^^

Which the programming class is also teaching a language that will help me TONS when it comes to my forum system with the avatars and what not. And it will be easy to work on it in class during that free time I'm going to get.

Nothing much happened on the way home. Driving by myself to the house was cool. Oh I guess I should mention that they changed the bus route so that it's quicker this year. So I end up home alone for at the very least thirty minutes, which is nice for posting on here and checking various websites before my parents come and I have to on to my homework.
