So second morning driving was good, although I felt rushed the entire way and I nearly died running through the school thinking I would miss the bus. Because I left the house a little late and I was slower getting to the highschool than I thought would happen. Which I guess I aught to mention now, because of the school I go to, it's not the original school I would have gone to because of the county I'm in. I had to apply to get in. and because of that I have to catch a bus at my homeschool system's highschool every day to get to school or just drive all the way there. and since my parents don't trust me driving that far they just have me drive to the highschool.
Anyway I caught the bus fine. However I left my iPod at home, so the bus ride was kind of boring with nothing for me to listen too. Luckily I had my trusted kindle so I was able to read the first of the maximum ride series even though I've already read all of those books at least once already, but that's okay. Those books are so awesome it totally makes up for it. and you could read them all front to back right after the other one and still be able to go and re-read the first one and not feel like it's boring you because you know the story. Because you won't. Because so much happens in those books, it's not even funny. You put the just one of the books down and then you realize all the stuff that happened to the characters and then you look at the thickness of the book and your like..... how did all that fit in there?
Anyway. First class was pretty cool. Met my english teacher. Really nice I really like her. I think I'm going to like english a lot too. I finally get to write in an english class rather than just read literature the entire time. Thank god. A lot of my friends are in there too. Or at least ones I don't get to see as often in the rest of my classes, so that's cool. I actually don't have that many classes with my closer friends. No lunches or classes at all with one. Ugh. and she's the one I'd love to have all of them with. Okay maybe not all of them, but a fair few anyway.
Second class... I'm iffy about. Some of the kids in there are going to make it fun, some of them I could see dragging the class down. I like the teacher in general, as I had him last year. It's a physics class, so a little boring, but interesting at the same time. However. The classroom is jam packed with students. The teacher even had to add an extra desk to fit us all in. Which I hate large classes. HATE them. Luckily I'm sitting next to the two/three people who should make the class fairly bearable. Hopefully.
Lunch. Lunch was cool except I had to drag a close friend of mine to a different table. I also found out that my um... I guess I'll just call him my crush. Even though I'm friends with him too and all. Yeah, he has my lunch. and he doesn't have an orchestra room that he can run to. So I think friday when I have this lunch block again, I'll make sure to catch him and sit with him. Even if it means not sitting with my friends that day. Because I don't have a class with him like I did last year and I'd really like to talk to him for more than the five minutes we see each other in the morning or the hallway.
Third class today I can tell is going to be interesting. Possibly fun but definitely interesting. It's with the same teacher as my English class and it's a 'creative writing' class. It's cool because basically we write all year and explore different kinds of writing and discuss things all about writing. Yay! First up is non-fiction, which... I think I might like. A little. I'm a little leery because I don't like non-fiction in general, but she says we'll be writing personal essay type stuff which I enjoy doing a lot. I mean, that's basically what this blog is, isn't it? Maybe I should show this to her. It's not exactly edited or anything, but it's certainly an example of me writing a lot about myself and everything, right?
Last class of the day was history. Which I was dreading. Because it was U.S. history and I feel like I learned that the first five years of my life. But then I met the teacher and found out how she's going to teach and everything and I think I'm going to love the class. Because it sounds like she's teaching a lot like a favorite history teacher I had some years back and that makes me so ecstatic. I really hope it turns out fun.
Bus was in a different location after school, so that confused me a bit, but I got there. Drive home was nice, and I got my allotted thirty minutes home alone, although mother scolded me lightly about calling her when I get home. That's going to be annoying to do, but oh well, I'll get over it.
